The NWT Career Centre is dedicated to delivering and facilitating a wide range of skills training certifications to help clients upskill, obtain necessary certifications for employment, or advance their careers.

In addition to our on-site training, we provide information and referrals to further education and training opportunities within the North Slave region.

Our Training Programs Include

SuperHost®

As the exclusive training provider of the SuperHost® suite of courses, we offer relevant, up-to-date customer service training to front-line staff across all industries at an affordable price. SuperHost® equips customer service employees with the practical skills and knowledge needed to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Young Worker Safety

Essential safety training for young workers entering the workforce, ensuring they understand their rights and responsibilities.

SafeServe

Certification focused on food safety, providing the knowledge required to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Food Handler

Comprehensive training for safe food handling practices, critical for anyone working in the food industry.

WHMIS

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training, essential for safely handling hazardous materials in the workplace and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Employment Training Program (ETP)

In collaboration with other organizations under the ETP initiative (GNWT – ECE – North Slave), the NWT Career Centre partners with key organizations such as YWCA, Native Women’s Association, NWT Salvation Army, and Inclusion NWT. The NWT Career Centre delivers the SuperHost Foundation of Service Quality to the public year-round. Additionally, we refer individuals seeking tailored employment training programs coordinated by the YWCA.
